put my github website on my domain (christinawei.com): accomplished!
The github tutorial made it seem so easy, but domain.com not so much. I wasn’t sure where to find where to make aliases.
For others who were confused like me (probably not many):
1.
You got to DomainCentral
2. Choose the domain you want to link
3.
Choose DNS, then Modify -> A Record
Add your website under host then change the Points To. I followed GitHub’s tutorial from here.
Issues I had:
– I had used CNAME at first, now I know what CNAME is and the differences compared to the other options
– I already was using a website builder on domain.com, which I had to delete.
Other notes:
Not that exciting of a post, but I was glad I finally started to do something productive this break.
